I'm Karolina Baublyte
I paint portraits of children that reflect their inner world.
I created this service around my biggest passions which I discovered and researched in depth throughout 5 years of my full-time art education.
As an artist, I pursue to be playful and innocent as children. Most importantly, I enjoy collaborating with children as part of my creative practice because they teach me to stay unattached to painting conventions, marvel the world afresh, and this way have fun while creating original art.
In addition, I particularly enjoy painting scenes with a narrative puzzle and hide the meanings behind imaginary symbols and allegories. Even though the scenes are set in a fantasy land, I sustain a tight tension with reality – our close relationships and how we perceive the world. Particularly for this reason my artistic practice involves fairy tales viewed from psychoanalytical perspective.
