Paintings of Children
Reflecting Their Inner World

Hi,

I'm Karolina - the artist
behind Neverland Portraits.

Paintings inspired by
artworks and fairy tales
created by children themselves.

As part of my creative process, I organize a creative session with a child where we playfully experiment with art materials to create abstract artworks.

I encourage the child to interpret the ambiguous outcomes and then, inspired by that interpretation, create a fantastical story with themselves as a main character.

Later, I use everything as my inspiration to create a Neverland Portrait painting.

A portrait that conveys more than the appearance of your child.

What the child sees in an abstract image, that reflects their current values and significant memories.

The child’s story with fantastical elements reveals how the child feels about their current journey of life.

Transform your child's imagination into contemporary work of art.

As a young aspiring artist, I am a big believer that childlike play is the most profound, original, as well as authentic form of creativity. It would be my privilege to have an opportunity to utilize your child’s innocent creative outcomes in order to produce contemporary paintings to the best of my ability.

I can take your child’s works and refer it to historical art that can span from ancient cave paintings to postmodernism. My thinking process often involves Greek mythology, eminent fairy tales, psychoanalytical perspectives as well as what-is-art philosophies. More about me…

Karolina was dedicated to her work from start to finish. Our children really enjoyed the creative session – both drawing and active outdoor games. The children even asked Karolina to come and play with them again 🙂

Karolina and our family met several times during this project. She would show us various drawings or paintings so that we could choose our favorite details, thus involving our whole family in this creative process. All meetings were very interesting and enriching for both children and adults.

We are glad that Karolina took into account our comments and requests regarding the final work. The painting was impressive both for us parents and for the children. Karolina’s dedication, thoroughness and professionalism were visible in her work. We wish her the best of luck in her future creative projects!

For us, Karolina and her creative process appeared professional and involved the whole family.

The first creative session was very fun for the girls and their cousin – we didn’t even expect that the action would last so long.

Throughout the creative process, Karolina made several presentations of ideas and asked our opinion. She tried to find ways to reconcile the wishes of all family members, no matter how different they were. When we wanted the composition of the painting to be improved, Karolina found ways to do it.

The painting process took a long time, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the final results. The paintings made a really big impression.

It turned out that we had to have a more serious discussion about the final price. Afterwards, Karolina went out of her way to be open and honest about why there was such a miscommunication, complimented our girls’ creativity many times and, putting our best interests first, laid out the details that helped us decide how to properly reciprocate.
After some time, we also received the creative process book. It’s fun to remember for ourselves and to show others which children’s fairy tales and artistic ideas were included in the picture.

We were surprised by Karolina’s ease, positivity and professionalism. She was so much fun to work with!

We were also surprised that Karolina only needed one creative session to get to know Mangirdas and create a picture that conveys his personality. After this session, we were very interested to hear how our boy is different from other children. My son doesn’t always open up to other adults, so it was fun to see how open he was with Karolina.

During the presentation of the drawings, it was very interesting to listen to what insights Karolina discovered about our son. Our boy can be mischievous and disobedient at times, and Karolina conveyed these traits as distinct advantages! Our son had a lot of fun listening to such a presentation.

It was not easy to choose a painting composition from the submitted drawings, although there were many of them. The son’s father wanted a painting composition with a catamaran and sails. At first, Karolina did not agree to create such a vision, but soon she apologized, worked on it and created a new composition that we were really satisfied with. We are all very happy with the final picture.

Good luck in further creative processes and thank you very much!

We were pleasantly surprised! Children’s play, stories, fantasies have become impressive drawings! Thanks Karolina!
